Is it consistent enough? Is it interesting? Is it polished enough? Does it provide a sense of place? How is the presentation? Note when framing (as opposed to gallery wrapped unframed as shown) I use D rings, and often install backer board at least and a dust cover at most. I no longer use adhesive items on the canvas; that now goes on stretcher bars or on the back of panels. No Sharpie on the back of canvas.

I would like to know if other feel that my compositions are structured enough ie, is there a strong center of interest, is there a good line leading the eye, are the values and palettes working? What is it the first word that came to you mind when you looked at a particular piece? Would my triptychs be better as paintings completed on a single canvas?

I am interested to hear a general feedback about my artworks. What are the best practice strategies to increase the sales? What would be the best way to find art collectors? I would love to hear a feedback about the prices.
What do you see as ways to improve my work? I am always striving to grow and improve my art. I know contemporary work sells well, but I tend to be fairly traditional. These five paintings are a sampling of current work available, but my website has many more images.

Request for Feedback from the Artist
My work has received conflicting critiques: 1. all my work looks the same and 2. also that my work is not consistent. I’d like to get feedback from artists (who are not a part of a jury panel for grants or exhibitions).
My work tends not to sell unless I am present to discuss my process. Are there suggestions from artists and gallery folks about how to remedy this?

What is the market for wilderness paintings? Especially in an art world where urban, abstraction, and eclectic seem to rule?
What is the first-impression feeling you have upon viewing these pieces?
And of course, you will all gasp at the price differences between pieces. I price according the hours that go into them (with a nonlinear adjustment at the low end). These are the prices I list for competitive exhibitions.

I have been struggling with whether or not to continue with the yarn (which I feel like is maybe too hard to categorize as “fine art” and prevents me from getting into top tier shows or galleries)
Could use some feedback…
I have 3 main bodies of work: abstract, buildings/landscapes and hearts. They seem to mostly have different followers (except I just shipped a mixture to one collector in NC who seems to focus on the color). I am thinking about taking those images that generate fewer click on my site down and wonder if that makes sense.

“Is the work ready for a gallery? Which markets do you see the work in? What could I improve? should I try to create larger pieces (these take a close to a month to create but I am willing to go bigger)?”
“The compliment that I hear the most is, “I love your colors” which I very much appreciate. I am all about creating beauty but should there be more to it? Should my titles be a little more thought provoking or mysterious? Also, do you find consistency beyond my palette? ”

Connie would like feedback on the following:
“I am looking at value contrast and feel that I don’t have enough in the piece called, ‘Between Here to There’. I will be painting in a larger format, 24 x 24 with a 2 in depth soon. Do the depth of these, 7/8 In, create the feeling of less in worth? I noticed that many “high end” pieces in fine art galleries have a 2 Inch depth or more. I have some of those paneled boards ordered, but had these done, or almost done. What do you think in terms of depth of the cradled board? The Piece called ‘The Sound of Wind’ is not something I usually do, it is very subdued in color palette, although I think it conveys the feeling I wanted, I am not sure about the colors. Again, tempted to add more value contrast.”
